to backup REAPER settings, got to Preferences > General > Export configuration... save the file with the date to OneDrive > Music > reaper

to edit keyboard settings, got to Preferences > General > Keyboard/Multitouch
Assign keyboard shortcuts to actions
Working with screensets
Cmd + e pullup the edit screenset menu
- Edit the windows (sizes, which to display) and then press "shift" plus the F key for the set you want to save it to.
Adding empty bars:
- select 1+ bars at the location you want to add
- right click on selection
- click "Insert empty space in selection"
Recording takes
- select recording type (normal, time selction auto-punch)
- Cmd+R to start recording (with or without selection)
- E to delete take and restart recording
- Space to end recording and keep take
