Recording clean DI signal

Use the following steps to record clean guitar DI signals for use in amp sims

  1. set the interface to "instrument" input
  2. set gain to just below clipping
  3. note the gain level*

  4. get adjustment value for interface from this spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bZHaapCiCg4RLIFqTS5KyUUVa4MwaqfxRCYk35Bvdrs/edit?gid=0#gid=0)

  5. For Focusrite Scralett 4i4 4th gen:

    • Helix: +0.5
    • NDSP: -0.2

  6. set input gain in plugin to gain level* + interface gain
